Is it a new crank? New damper? I'd pull the damper back a little bit and try to turn it. If the bolts aren't hitting the timing cover like Czar says, maybe the dampers bottoming against the #1 main webbing?

the original pulley broke and we were able to find one in the junk yard. same motor but different year. it went in and aligned but won't turn the motor. just pulled it right now and found out that it's different by a hair.
probably take it to a machine shop or put a washer. |
