Mounting outside guages, Any ideas??

OK I have two - 2 5/8 guages nitrous and fuel pressure for mounting on the outside of the passenger compartment. and I can not come up with any ideas that will look right . The hood will not be mounted for awhile and I wish to run the engine once the front clip is on, in a month or so.

I am looking at mounting directly to the engine somehow via a homemade bracket.

So if anyone has any ideas please feel free to share, you can see my pics in my journal under blacklotus

Thanks Greg

I think you already have the right idea. I'd look for an old ( or new ) throttle cable bracket and fabricate a mounting plate on top to mount the gauges to .
You can bolt it right to your intake manifold in whatever location you desire.
If you're not using the hood , how about the hood hinge arm? or up on a mount that's connected to the firewall ???

best of luck with it!!

Mounting outside gauges

Here's a thought...Make up a face plate for the gauges, add a piece of chrome exaust tubing to the back and cap it with a bearing cap from a trailer. Saw some yesterday at the farm store.

all good ideas, the defroster idea I have looked at and it may be diffcult to route AN hose through the fire wall for this.

I already have guage cups and I was planning on using them somehow
