Mounting slicks

I did a brief search in the KB but struck out so.......

I had a friend call the shop today asking if I could break down and re-mount a pair of slicks to another set of rims for him. He told me that the only major tire store in town wouldn't do it for him. Something about the possibility of tearing them up or the liability issue came to mind when he mentioned that me. I told him to call back in the morning and I'd see what I can find out. He said they're M/T 29x13.50 on 15" rims and were wrinkle walls.

My question is, what is the procedure for mounting a tire like this?

I'm thinking by hand would be safer/less damaging than using our ancient tire machine at the least.

find a shop that does truck tires and wheel mounting...its easier with the right equipment. I'm lucky...Summit is just up the road and they do all that stuff...they sell the wheels and tires so they also mount them.
