Moving day.......

Moved into the new house over the last couple of days and boy are we bushed. Moved the furniture yesterday and the garage today. Drove the '53 down and ran out of gas on the way. I knew I didn't have much gas in the tank but figured I had enough to go 4 miles but not so fast..... anyway once I put some gas in the tank it made it without incident.

Later in the day we moved all my engines, trans and rear ends along with all the suspension and frame stuff for the deuce. The wife unloaded the 3 window body pretty much by herself. Had to put all my shop stuff in the "garage" side because the shop is still full of construction materials. Figures, I build a new house with a huge 2200 sq. ft. garage and I still don't have enough room. Maybe later this year I can get things organized and get back to work on my projects. Not done with the house yet though and that comes first.

Let me be the first to welcome you to your new home. Moving is a real &^%$#, but in the end it is well worth it. I'm looking at moving a little further north to get away from the hurricanes in two years when I retire.

Further north means still in Texas.

You WOULD be a redneck if there were no wheels, OR if they were propped up on wheels that are stacked on top of each other, or bricks.

Sounds like a ton of work in moving, I had the thrill of it all when I moved from Michigan to here in Pennsylvania, 420 miles one way and it took us a total of 9 trips to get it all here over a period of 6 months, and with the help of other family members making trips and using the excuse of taking a vacation to help us out. My personal best for time (taking my sweet time- that is) was 13 hours one way.

FOUL !!!!!! Offsides, 10 yard penalty !!

Look at your official Hotrodders.com membership booklet that you got when you signed up!

Para. 2132, line 16 : In no cases, shall shop space be infringed upon for the use of ANY domestic storage. This shall include any or all construction materials or debri.

Even Dewey didn't break this rule! And we know what a rebel he is!

Want to bet how many people complain about not getting their rule book?

Congrats on the new house. Dito on the moving, after coming back from Japan last year, I think I am done moving for awhile.

Now, if I could just find things I unpacked...

That red neck stuff reminded me of an old song.......There's no other place I'd rather be than right here, with my red neck, white socks, and blue ribbon beer!
