MP Brakes metering valve?

Hello, I'm new here.

Is anyone familiar with MP brakes metering valve? The valve is installed in a 1966 Mustang with disc brakes in the front. Everything seems to be working correctly except for the fact the valve is leaking from the plug in the top whenever the brakes are fully applied. Does this indicate the valve is bad? The plug is usually covered by a small rubber cap.

is it the bypass button it's leaking from? used when preassure bleeding the brakes. if so more than likely it's bad

Bypass button?

Thanks for the reply!

Brake fluid is leaking from the threads on the plug and from the small hole in the top. Is the plug assembly what you're referring to as bypass button?

A metering valve is a hold off valve essentially, it holds off brake preassure to the front brakes until the rears reach 125 PSI. if you have someone stand on the brakes hard, there should be a button that moves in, that is the bypass button. is that what is leaking. if any threads are leaking, they need tightened.

Got it!

Tightening the valve up cured the leak. Unfortunately now the flares for calipers are leaking.

I've tightened the outlets up as well and I think they've stopped leaking. I guess I'll find out when I run the engine and see if they leak with the vacuum booster assist.

Thanks for the help!
