Msd 2 step installation?

Does anyone know how to install the msd 2 step without using a msd ignition box? This is what I have:

I have an HEI distributor. Im just looking for a cheap rev limiter and I have this lying around. I understand it needs a power and ground, but where would I run the little 2 prong cord? Im really confused as to how I would hook it to the actual ignition. Thanks.

The Two Step is not a rev limiter itself, it is only a electronic selector between two different limit chips. You can't use it with the stock HEI, the Two Step box plugs into the rpm chip port on a MSD box like the 6AL or 7AL, etc. The Two Step is used to provide a burnout rpm limit or a starting line rev limit (by hooking to Trans brake switch, clutch pedal switch, or line lock switch), and a second rpm limiter for normal engine operational top end limit.

The only product MSD has to limit rpm on a stock type HEI is the Soft Touch Rev Control, Part # 8728.
