msd blaster 3 vs. blaster 2 coil

hey...im new here, it looks like this forum is really helpful...so here i go. i was just wondering, what is the difference between the blaster 3 and the blaster 2 coil. the reason i ask is because i had a blaster 2 and when i re-wired my car i got a blaster 3, however, my uncle told me that the coil is too much for the ignition control unit and it will burn out. i just wanted to get a second, third or other opinions. also, i looked on summit and the msd site and they r the exact same specs. any info would be greatly appreciated.

MSD says they are both high performance coils for stock ignitions. The difference is that the Blaster 3 has a taller wire post for easier maintenance.
