Msd Hei

Changing to a MSD street fighter distributor and need to know how to determine the spark plug order on the cap. I have the wires marked but do not have them on the old cap for reference. New ditributor is in and just need to put the wires on the cap. HELP! SBC 350

What I understand is that you changed your distributor and now you need to install the wires but you forgot the firing order?

the firing order of the sbc 350 is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2, the rotor spins clockwise so installing the wires on the cap goes the same way.

this link should help you Installing a Dist, it explains what you need to do
this can help too SBC firing order

Use the search bar in this forum, it helps a lot

So does it matter where you start on the cap for the #1 wire? I put a mark on the firewall and that is where the new rotor is pointing. Sorry for being such a newb!

It really doesn't matter, you can start anywhere you want, just make sure the wires don't cross to prevent the sparks jumping from one wire to another
