MSD Relay

Hi, I want my MSD box with a relay, but I dont know if I can use just a 30 amp relay like the ones for the lights or the fuel pump (general use) or do I have to install a 30 or 40 amp high current relay like the MSD ignition makes? I'm using a relay wiring kit for halogen lights on my fuel pump and seems to work fine but I dont know about the ignition

We have wired up MSD boxes for a long time with just a fused circuit. With no problems. The main reason to run a relay, is to make it easy on a "switch" that will not carry the load. The only switch used on the MSD is the ignition, which will carry the load.
But in answer to your question, a 30a will carry it.
