also the led light it says in the manual blinks every time the ignition fires so it should appear to be constantly lit while the engine is running.

To hook the tach to the Skip White dizzy, just wire it like a points set-up... the tach trigger wire(usually green with most tachs) hooks to the coil (-) post.

ok just did a 3 way call with charlie from skipwhite and a msd tech, they said the dizzy internal module is not compatible with the msd box, because the dizzy puts out a square wave signal and the msd box is looking for a round wave signal i think is what they said. so they told me to take the internal module out of the dizzy and use the green and violet wire inside the dizzy and wire it just like a magnetic pickup dizzy and they will work.

just thought i would update here for future reference

thanx

Thanks for the update, I'll file that away in the memory bank. Once you said how it acted connected to the MSD box I was pretty sure it was a signal compatability issue. Glad to see they offered you a solution.

I had figured the Skip White distributor had electronics similar to the Pertronix Ignitor type, as most of these small cap 2 wire aftermarket types are,... turns out it is mag trigger and module configuration. Nice that it has a mag trigger you can use to trigger the MSD box, it is a more fool proof set up.

So it turns out it would have to be wired like a stock GM HEI converterd to run an MSD box...remove the module and hook directly to the mag trigger.
