mud truck T-400

im in process of building a mud truck for fun truck and some competition.i will put in it 454 with good head.the question is what can i do on my th400 to have hard shifting and tough the truck have 4.10 gear and 44 tire

Full manual shift,

34 element sprag and drum for 2nd gear,

Deep pan,

big trans cooler
