That B3 Hammond with the Leslie intro takes it completely outa Rockabilly for me - - - - I expected to hear Cab Calloway and "Minnie the Moucher" at any time. I love that sound, it was born during War War I and given life by the struggling Black Artists with a large ensemble but still not big band stuff.

There's a young female artist, named Jill Barber, from Canada that's bringing back some of the WWI sounds and I really like her voice.
She got some pretty good reviews from a Dodge Commercial that used her "Never Quit Loving You" song for a background.

I guess if I had to pick a favorite female artist it would be Norah Jones. IMHO, she is one of those that should have been a Mega-Star but for some reason it never happened. This is from the "Little Willies" CD and she looks as good as she sings.

This song never fails to give me goose bumps. The beginning o the song is true 60's culture. Her Monterrey version is also worth a listen.

As far as the Thunderbird Crash soundtrack goes, the credits seems to be pointing toward Toto as the artists but I really don't think it's a song - per say - just a instrumental soundtrack - - but that' just a guess ?????

Here's another one for the morning after the Election:
