Dickie Dale was cool but, IMHO, the Ventures were the ultimate Surf "Twang" Band !

Here are some of the songs that I can first remember "E" doing.
These were all done in Sam Phillips Sun Studios.
I instantly became a fan and I'll remain a fan until I die.

There were 2 Viscounts Band and this is the American Band and not the British Band !
This was a huge hit in the Houston area back in the early 60s.

Harlem Nocturne long version by The Viscounts 1960, plus 1 - YouTube
I listened to this song, had to Google it. It was the theme for the Mickey Spillane "Mike Hammer" shows. Earle Hagen, wrote this and by gosh, I learned he wrote the theme for the Andy Griffith show and also whistled it for the recording for the show.

I learn something everyday about music here. What I don't know about music would fill a set of encyclopedia books.

Pure Country Music !

I know that there aren't many Pure County Music Fans on here but I just had to share this one with Y'all anyhow. The band is called "The Time Jumpers" and they are all artists in their own right and most of them are well known around the Recording Studios of Nashville. The Lady singing the lead vocal is Dawn Sears and she has enjoyed a pretty good career of her own also. These artists are not a traveling band but they do combine their talents to perform for standing room only crowds throughout the Country Music World. I hope that, at least, some of you enjoy this awesome combination of talent.
