Years ago I either heard or read of Garrison Keillor and his fellow band members
trip to the crash site just after the accident and it stuck with me. I remember it was quite touching. Unfortunately I can't find it on the internet but I did find this.

That is beautiful, what a great description of that day.
"True love ways" with me singing was my wife and my first dance song at our wedding reception.

Randy, there's no bigger Aaron fan than me and Linda Ronstadt even said that he had the finest voice she had ever heard. HOWEVER, Johnny Ace's rendition of "Pledging My Love" is the one that brings back those memories.

One More Tonight

Randy, your Aaron Neville post got me to thinking Louisiana Music and that also makes me think of "Mud Bugs". It's getting close to that time and Mardi Gras is just around the corner so here's one that will get us in the mood even more. Have you ever heard of these Kids? They are so true to their Cajun French heritage and the music of their ancestors but yet they still manage to inject their youthfulness.

Mardi Gras is already rolling here... I don't go to any of them,, I can't deal with the drunk's,,

I hate to say it,, I wish they would stop them... The street's are trashed,Can't go to any store's in town, Roads are blocked off ever where's And all the people !!!!! Just not for me anymore..

we agree on that for sure - - - - all that Mardi Gras means to me is time to eat gooooooood food. There's only two things that would make me leave Texas and move to Colorado - the food and the music. First time I saw Hunter Hayes was in the Concert at Dallas hosted by Bocephus and he was playing Jambalaya on the squeeze box - - I think he was only 5 then. I did hear that he played all the instruments on his last Album.

Found it - - - - Make that 4 years old.

He's so talented - - - notice how he doesn't loose meter when he has to fix his mic - - he comes in right where the Band is.

30 instruments - - WOW - - - he'll be a major player in the Music Industry one day. Probably head of some Studio or something. He's also got his own style now and hasn't allowed himself to be "typed" by what's going on at Music City.

Very enjoyable. A very talented family indeed. I've been listening to them for the last hour on You Tube.
If you enjoy traditional Cajun you might enjoy the audio's and video's compiled by Stbriceday on You Tube. Great music and great (sometimes strange) videos. This guy's video and audio library must be something!

Jolie Blon is always a good place to start!
