What an amazing talent! To think that talent could ever stop is such a shame. That those hands could ever have been stopped, what a shame.

I couldn't agree more.

Here's another of my faves they named 'the best unknown guitarist in the world' who passed away under suspicious circumstances in a jail cell in Virginia back in '87 - Roy Buchanan.

Sit back & enjoy 30 minutes of sheer genius as he plays a full set at Austin City Limits back in '76.

Now, we're even, Martyn is a new one to me. Another six stringer from your side of the pond that I like is Arlen Roth.

The first song I ever heard him play was "I can't stop loving you" and I think what blew me away was his versatility of styles that he used throughout the song. Sometimes I think he should have been a Pedal Steel Player the way he uses all of his arsenal to get the different tones and licks that he does. This is NOT a very good Audio but it's worth the listen-IMHO

i may have posted this song already. If I had I'm sorry. This is my daughter's favorite song to dance to so I play it every morning and dance with her. Love the song myself.

GEORGE BENSON - On Broadway

This one is an all-time favorite, because of the music... but more importantly because of the message!

This attitude served me very well, during a few of the toughest times in my life, and I learned that ..... "George was right!!!"

Since then I have shared the experience of setting other's opinions aside, and having the self-confidence to continue on with enthusiasm!

Thanks for helping me enjoy it again! Now I need to go listen to it one more time. :-)

i thought that too. I bet he dealt with racism because of the time and set backs due to that and to me it's a song about plowing right through the obstacles with determination like saying, "I'm not trying, I'm doing!" Love that song for that as well.

Good reflections there Y'all - - - - ain't nothing better than a good "positive" and "motivational" song that helps folks no matter what the situation.
