As a young man, I fell in love with "spaghetti westerns". They seemed to portray the beauty of nature... the open possibilities of a country expanding into a vast wilderness... the courage and determination of men and women... and of course the conflict that has always been part of humankind's story.

The music that went into these movies stirred my emotions... and did it in ways that harmonized with the theme of those wonderful, and far away adventures. {:-)

Jester

I also am part Cherokee. (It's true!) My grandfather on my mom's side was full blooded Miami... a part of the Cherokee tribe! :-)

That "conflict" I talked about did not suggest that one group or the other, of any kind, is ever totally spiritually pure in their actions. All humans seem to consistantly have issues with someone else. This will be a much more peaceful and safer planet when it is back in the hands of the other creatures... which I am sure we will eventually arrange. :-(

I know what you meant Jay I KNEW YOU HAD INDIAN IN YA!!!! LOL

I love westerns when I was a kid I rooted for the cowboys, My grandmother used to scowl at the TV. One of my favorite westerns was "Hondo" with John Wayne! It was in 3D at the theaters when I was a kid!!

My Grandmother on my Dad's side was half Cherokee.
Wasn't she purdy?

So in honor of our ancestors here's a little ditty that was originally recorded by the late great Bob Wills and The Texas Playboys. However, Merle Haggard has tried to do Bob proud along with some of the old Texas Playboys - - - enjoy Injuns

Sorry guys, I'm Irish. Can't contribute to the Indian cultur segment.

I stumbled on this. This is the local band that used to play at many of the Soc Hops around Louisville Ky in the early 60s when I was in school. Brought back lots of memories.

I get a message that says my Firefox doesn't recognize the rtsp file and doesn't have a program for it. Probably could find some software but I'm gonna wait and see if I can find it on Youtube in a different format.

Is this it, John?
