That last one has the Rides from my H.S. daze, Malc. The chord progression, however, is one that was used in 100s of songs during that time. Pickers call it the 1-6-4-5 doowoper.
with a different meter but the same chords
"Still of the Night"
"Bristol Stomp"
"Teenager in Love"
"Earth Angel"
"Sincerely"
"Tears on my Pillow"
"Eddie my Love"
"Oh Donna"
and so on and so on and so on

That you're "isn't worth anything lesson" for today

Ah Horton, I have some LPs & 45s Of his and all his CDs He's an old fart like me now its funny how so many never heard of him!!!! Like the Meteors, He's been around a long time!!!!

I posted Horton Before so these may be already on here, I drive into runs & shows and everyone wants to know what I'm listening to! They like his music but never heard of him? Ive been to a couple of his shows He's an outlaw like David Allan Coe And Im guessing thats why they don't play his music!

Sounds good to me, Mr. Long - - - - I guess my favorite would be one that I heard as a kid by a Black Piano player and he was playing it on an old upright 88 with no accompaniment Problem is that I can't remember his name - grrrrrr

Hey Brain. If you like Sara Bareilles, what do you think of Diana Krall?

However, since we are on the subject of Boogie Woogie and I am an "OLD" used up reed bender of the 10 holer. Here's one from a CD I have featuring some of my Harp Heroes from days gone by. This is a fun song to Jamm with BTW.

When I was in the Marines I took a military hop and we landed on an RAF base in England and had an overnight stay so myself and 2 RAF went to see a rock and roll show off base! They were going to show me the back streets of England and the Teddy Boys rock Group!(COOL)! And I was a rock and roller from the U.S. LOL Well we got to this tavern and went inside in uniform with short hair I could hear the Rock & roll coming from this bar but it was in a TEDDY BOY area I never heard of TEDDY BOYS!! They all looked like young boys & girls a cross between Elvis and Eddy Cockren dressed in Zoot suits! I was in the wrong place at the really wrong time (Drunk) I was getting elbowed and shoved around and called SHAGEN YANK (I didn't even Know what SHAG meant?) The 2 RAF boys got me out the door and out side! But stareing at us was what looked like a hundred young boys with Knives, chains and clubs After a few punches & shoves we ran like hell with bricks and rubble being thrown at us! I still have a big scar on my shoulder from it! Man you talk about a rough bunch ( Detroit KIDS On Steroids)!!!!!!! The RAF boys told me that there were thousands of Teddys
in London and could probably take over the city!!!!

In 69 I married my first wife and had our honeymoon in Niagara Canada we saw the Group the Teddy Boys they sang Jezebell in a club and liked the music and have been into it ever since Like Crazy Cavin & others I love the Music called Psycobilly, Rockabilly, & horrorbilly! Its very hard to find in the States!!!

I joined the service to get away from the rough background I had and to clear a bad record I was building, I ran with a rough bunch The Stilettos of Detroit. And I was on my way to ruin when I was grabbed by a recruiter, I enlisted and it changed my life I came out a better man I was still a Biker and a Rodder and still rough around my edges! But saw the world a lot different and Im still alive after 67 years! I carry scars and bad memory's from run ins with the Big BagleyBoys also from Detroit and other gangs. But thats all past like a bad dream LOL The Teddys and their music remind me of Detroit in the early 60s & late 50s. Memory's of The hair (I dont have any more LOL, the dress (Greaser I still do LOL), the cars the bikes the cruising I still do, the GIRLS( I have a good one!!!!) Those type of memory's I like and keep close with the music I listen to and I'm really surprised at the people on here that can relate to me with their choice of Music

This is a great thread

Jester
