Yo P.J., man I really dig Johan Bloham's talent and that's the best sounding true Piano sound (patch) that I've ever heard come out of an Electric Keyboard.

I wonder if you are remembering Pine Top Perkins. I think he died last year but was famous for his Boogie Woogie.

Nope John, I liked Pine Top but that's not the one I was thinking of. I've looked at all the places I might have heard or even copied it with no success. I do remember he was a full figured feller.

The first time I heard this song I was sippin' some suds in the local ice-house and some "Idiot" (at least I thought so at the time) said that was the Hollies. Well, me being the musical Genius and somewhat loose from the suds, told him he was crazy that it was Fogerty and CCR. So after a few more longnecks I bet him a $100 just to get him to shut up and about 15 minutes later I was writing him a #$^&@#^% check. Now, don't Y'all think this sounds exactly like Fogerty and CCR or was I really that tanked?

IMHO, there are many "pure" Country Music female vocalist out there trying to make it but NO ONE sings a Country Ballad quite like Ms. Dawn Sears. Of course it doesn't hurt having the "Time Jumpers" backing you up either.

The greatest voice ever. In my opinion he had much more flavor when they were the jackson 5. I know he didn't invent this song but he took it to a whole nother level. These two songs are my favorite J5 songs.

here's a live version and I put this up instead of the studio version cause it really shows his talent...incredible!!!!

This is a grower - Gritz ~ 'Bayou Country'

Another good band is Crawler. I love their self titled album, there isn't a bad track on it. Here's a couple from it - 'Sold On Down The Line' & 'Stone Cold Sober'

Another British band I enjoy listening to are Wishbone Ash. Twin lead guitars always held an appeal for me. Here's a couple of corkers of theirs for those uninitiated of you to get your teeth (ears) into.

In the studio with 'Silver Shoes'

And with a live version of another track from the same album 'There's The Rub'...'Persephone'
