Ive got 45s that were my dads and put them on tapes and then cds they are very old and have a lot of what I call rock and roll rockabilly style, Ill try to put them in the computer and then on here if I can figure out how! You guys would get a kick out of them ( all about cars and have engine sounds! Older men on here will remember "pink Cadillac and a black mustash" Or " my baby threw up in my new Cadillac" or "4 flat tires" and lets not forget "little Nash" ( Beep Beep)

Oh dont get me wrong; I love old music.

Any Ramones fans out there? "little Camaro"? "I wanna be sedated" "Blitzkrieg Bop"

You want something interesting? Johnny Cash covered a Nine Inch Nails song called "Hurt"; Metallica covered Tuesday's Gone with John Popper on harmonica. Both of those were recorded in studio.

Any Ronnie James Dio fans? Pick one of his bands:
Ronnie & The Red Caps (1958–1961)
Ronnie Dio & The Prophets (1961–1967)
The Electric Elves (1967–1969)
The Elves (1969–1970)
Elf (1970–1975)
Rainbow (1975–1979)
Black Sabbath (1979–1982 1991–1992 + 2006
Dio (1982–1991 1993–2010)
Heaven & Hell (2006–2010) (Rehash of Black Sabbath - Butler Iommi Ward and Dio)

Can you tell Im a huge Dio fan? 'Man on the Silver Mountain' was an amazing song

Huge Dio fan as well. It's a shame he had to go when he did.

So I got to thinking back when I was in Jr. High School in the San Fernando Valley during the late 50's early 60's. We would occasional be pulled out of class for assembly's. Good deal, out of class. I didn't know why but it was a good deal. How many of you guys had The Beach Boys, Paul and Paula, and Dick and DeeDee come to your Jr. High and perform? I did. Still don't know why. Oh yeah, some other guy and his friends showed up. A guy named Kenny Rodgers and The First Addition. couldn't figure that one either.

I had no idea Dio went back that far. I like his stuff in Black Sabbath much more than Ozzy, twice the singer in that band as Ozzy was. I've a few Dio CD's, good stuff.

I really got into Ronnie because he was really good friends with Joey Belladonna (Original frontman for Anthrax). Joey is a local guy and he used to go on and on about Ronnie, and JOURNEY (gahh!).

Incidentally, at the wake for Ronnie James Dio; Joey sang "Man on the Silver Mountain" nicely done as well
