Good music, Em. I have XM radio, I listen to 2 stations almost exclusively, Deep Tracks and Bluesville. Deep Tracks has music I have never heard, living in Minnesota's great north, we didn't get a lot of the "hippie" music. Some I had forgotten, great stuff. I would like to play some for the younger set, I think it would blow their minds that it was performed 40 years ago.
Blues= John Lee Hooker, my favorite of all. There is another genre of music I am learning at the ripe old age of going to be 60 in a few days, I just never was exposed to it as a youngster but enjoying it so much now. Mz Etta gave me chill bumps and watery eyes.
Such a singer and such a loss - my oldest step-son went to see her in Vegas and she couldn't finish the concert and they gave people their money back - - - - so sad to see such an artist end up like that. I also like Koko Taylor and Irma Thomas' version of that old song. It's funny what songs make some people cry and others don't see it. That's the way with me on this one - - - - I tear up everytime. 50 wooden nickels to anyone that can tell me whose playing pedal steel in this cut !

Here's one for you blues guys. I heard a song the other day, I think it might have been B.B. King and a gal, singing about having bacon and pancakes for breakfast but then nothin for Sunday morning but they still have each other, something like that. A kick butt song, I've been searching YouTube and google for hours, help me out please.

Manowar is so awesome. The lyrics are pure cheese, but that's why I love them. David Allen Coe was mentioned a while back. I grew up listening to him, good artist although not a huge fan of his more "questionable" stuff.
