mustang 11

i bought a m11 crosmember from mcgivers to fit my 39 chev truck.i had already got a m11 front end and being frugal (my wife says cheap) i installed control arms from original front end. my question is mcgivers sent a bent strut rod that the lower control arm bolt goes thru.i bought this kit years ago. bolt is 1/2 inch.reading some options have left me wondering how safe this setup will be

I would ditch that strut rod and get MII strut rods to go on your MII lower arms. Get/make brackets to go to the frame. Weld them in when you get the car with full weight and ride hieght you want. IMHO.
