mustang ii ifs conversion

Ihave A 55 Ford Coustomline And Bought Mustang Ii Ifs To Be Installed. The Crossmember,is Universal. The Frame Is To Wide.my Question Is'what Is The Best Way To Narrow The Frame Rails? Has Anyone Accomblished Amustang Ii Ifs On A 55 Ford Car

Give the guys over at JW RodGarage a look. If I recall they may have the correct crossmember and all the pieces you need without having to narrow your frame.

MII is quite light duty for a '55 Ford.. I'd sell it and get somthing that actually fits, or at least the right crossmember. they make several widths, tho diffrent manufactures are not created equal to others... The original suspension is decent. I would rebuild it, hook a modern steering box to it and mod the OG column to fit it or get a new column and be done with it

There are plenty of parts available to use the stock stuff. Convert to disc brakes and use an early 80's Cavalier power rack steering. A good sway bar..Works good.
