Mustang II pwr steering hoses

I know what you're thinking, but this isn't the same old question.

Just got new hoses from Borgesons to go from GM pump to mustang rack. The rack side of the hoses have different sizes so I don't think I can screw up and put them in the wrong place, but there is an extra nipple tie wrapped to the hoses. One side looks like a male flare fitting and the other side of it is just cylindrical. What is this fitting for? Thanks

Barry

That's possible but there were also two different Mustang racks and the fittings were different on them too.
