Post Mustang II rack bushings

Need to know is there a right way to install the rack bushings. Does the shoulder face forward or towards the back? Am replacing the bushings in the rack and pinion in my 40 Ford. Just need to know which way they face.
Thanks!

The side of the rubber with the flange, goes on the crossmember side of the rack.. Make sure to put a big washer on the front side..
