I ran into the same problem about ten yrs ago with a must. 2 frt that I installed in a 48 ford. I never did find a short enough shock to have sufficient shock travel. I ended up cutting the centers out of upper hats and building extended shock mounts. Was a real hassel and never was completely happy with results. The next car I built using must.2 (41 Merc) I had the crossmember designed as low as possible and only had to trim 1/2 coil off of 4 cyl. springs. - worked and rode perfect. Can only suggest you contact Heidts and see what they have to say - would be interested in what they have to say. Good luck
