Mustang II tierod ends

Need some longer tierod ends for my Mustang II Rack (only need 1 inch both ends. Have heard that Ford Fairmount tierods will do. Any suggestions

Fairmount ends are what I have on my SR. My x member is 4" wider then stock. What is the app.

More info please:
I am rebuilding a 54 Ford P/U. I will post pictures later. This truck is a present for my wife. So I will go out and get Fairmount Tieend. Do I need a certain year.

oldman w/white 57. My pride and joy is my white 57 Chevy 2dr Hardtop, and yes I am an old man.

I like your ride. Enjoy it

PS: what does S/R mean

First off, no you're not older then me 65
sr= street rod
not sure of the year but probably all will work. Available at Summit or speedway for sure'
I would try NAPA online first. Then go pcup'
I wish I had a 54 picup to do.
Thanks for the compliment on my ride. Had 'er out today for a coffee run. I really like stompin' it. I really feel it going into 2nd(th350) as I put in stronger springs.
My Dad had 57 fairlane with a 312 4bbl and fx tranny. Made the 409 chevies think a little.
My sister had a 57 2dr chevy with a 283 power pack. That really hauled. Course that was in the mid 60's.
Told u I was older then dirt didn't I?

I went thru GA last spring on my way back from FL and took the scenic route from Moody military base and saw a lot of old iron. Must be great to be so close to that iron. Stuff up here is rare and all rotted out.

Back when UAP/NAPA (Canada) sold Moog chassis parts, I recal that we had a specifications book that had tie-rod ends by dimensions. We're back into the NCP (NAPA Chassis or Perfect Circle / Spicer) now, and I'm not sure that such a catalog even exists anymore.

I can give you the dimensions for a specific application / part number combination, however.

Here is your 1978 Ford Fairmont.




NCP #269-2457

All of the refernces seem to idicate that this information MUST have come from a referenced drawing in the specifications book.

Tie rod ends

Mid 80's Thunderbird are longer than mustang by over an inch.
