Mustang Super Shifters

Anyone out there running old school Toploaders with Hurst Supershifters?
If so, how did you modify trans tunnel brace to clear shift rods?

Thanks - Gydyup

I used a couple of super shifters and usually a heat wrench worked just fine to enlarge the hole to clear the linkage.

Mount the tranny, mark a small area and cut. Today there are plenty of roto zip type cutters that would cut cleanly. After the hole was made to accomodate the linkage, new sheet metal was installed around the linkage to cover things up.

The super shifter boot will mold to most floors well enough.

Stock consoles will not work with out extensive modifications. The shifter sits quite a bit to the left.
