My 671 Blower...HELP PLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After a year of hand polishing this GMC blower, i place it on my new wieand blower intake & the holes don't line up!!!!!!!!! I turn the blower backwards & the holes line up perfect! These friends who assembled the blower (a well known engine shop) instead of pulling it apart & switching the case around, said just tap and drill 4 new holes, as the 4 holes in the middle of the blower & intake line up perfect. What should i do now??????? I,m getting depressed bigtime......any help would be really appreciated, Thanks, Marty

I think you may get more response to your question if you put it in the engine forum. It sounds like your blower was set up for a boat, they usually face backwards on boats.

Re: my 671 Blower

Thanks for replying! Its strange but these guys do mostly marine boat engines now. Cigarette boats etc. Lots of them run blowers. They got fed up with Drag Racers! Marty
