I just shot my 911 with SPI black Epoxy today, this is the first time using an SPI product. I love the way this material handles. Great coverage and great spraying characteristics. I used a 1.5 tip in my DeVilbiss Finishline gun. The SPI layed out smooth. The shine on the balck is great for showing you the areas that need more hammer and dolly or filler.
I sanded the bare metal with 80-grit on my DA. I washed with DX 330 and then final washed with SPI water based wax and grease. I like the feel and performance of this product too.
I can't wait to get to the High Build 2K and Universal Clear.
