That reminds me of the time I referred to my attorney's 911 as his "hot rod". The stiff old barrister gave me a look of disgust, like I was insulting his German sports car by using the term, hot rod, so I fired him . Not really, he just retired and then bought a new 911.

Great car, keep the picts coming!

More Progress

Color sanded and began polishing the body. The depth and gloss are unreal. This is only 1 pass with Presta Cutting Creme and a wool pad. No polish or swirl removers yet. Plus these were taken with my cell phone camera and they look this good.

Well, 1 year later (for those of you following) here are some pictures in the sun from this fall. I still need to add the blue Carrera graphics to the lower quarters, doors and fenders.

BTW - All SPI with PPG base coat.

Beautiful job. Just don't be afraid to drive it now! Like someone said earlier in this thread, I'm relieved to find out we can admit to having cars like this. One of my daily drivers is an '89 911 Carrera with the whale tail like yours. Guards red w/black leather. Glad to see they're not all wasted on rich guys who don't appreciate them for what they are: a hot rod!

Thanks John. They are the best ones I've done to date. Lots of careful trimming and hammer and dooly work paid off nicely.
