My car

I have a 1995 Mercury Sable. I dont like its basic black color so i want something bright and vibraint. I want to paint it tiedye but i dont want to spend a whole heck of a lot. I dont care if its the shiniest or the best quality either, i just want something quick and easy. Any suggestions on where i can buy the different colors of paint and all the steps i need to take?

You mean as in tie dye t-shirts? That would be different. Cole

Ok, I guess it's what I thought it might be. Muli-pastel colors like on a t-shirt.

Pastel auto paint is going to be hard to find if not impossible.

Do know how to use an airbrush?

I suppose you could if you don't care about texture.

Do you know how to use a spraygun atleast?

i've never tried but i guess i could now. I just dont have one and i would hate to buy one and use it once.
And if i did use a paint brush would it be REALLY bumby, or just not as smooth as say show cars?

If your going to buy a gun for one time use then just pop on over to Harbor Freight and purchase one for $15.00. While your there pick up plenty of those small sponge brushes they sell. I've got an idea if you don't want to try an airbrush.

Do you have a PPG jobber around you?

Maybe looking on site isn't a good idea. Check the nearest auto paint store and ask them. Where in California do you live?
