My car moved under its own power

After 3 1/2yrs of sitting in my garage(14yrs in the last owners). I finaly fired it,put it in gear and drove the thing around the lot a few times.I finished working last year with all the glass. Its sat since last november without touching it.Then after the Adirondack Nationals in sept I got a bug up my *** and scraped together what ever cash I had to start doing something again.I put $300 in the brakes this year and also built my exhuast from the headers back.Last year it was running but I couldn't get fluid out of the bleeders and the cylinders were shot,so I put it away.
Felt so good to drive it around.Evan flet good when I popped it off and the seat bracket broke and threw me into the steering wheel...LOL
Now its pretty much down to frontend bushings/alignment and body work on the nose to put plates on it.
Things move very slowly for me cause I have 3 bands ontop of a dayjob so times limited and we all know about musicians budgets LOL so the car don't get the attention it should.
Evan the landlord of the garge was out for the event...OK OK so she really wanted to know were the last two months rent was............(under the car LOL)

Congrats!

I know how you feel. I wanted to get my nova on the road this summer, but I have had a bunch of personal items to attend to and the daily car needs shocks and exhaust. I'm not going to get it ready until next year. I was so happy when I pulled it out of the garage all one color, and got my donor engine pulled...sigh

Yea I pop in here once in awhile. I don't get a whole lotta car time and my attention wanders, but IT WILL GO ON THE ROAD...eventualy........
Its startin to look like a car now all the glass is in,tailights are in,wheels are on(and not flat..).Got a cool look from the side now,can see the headers throuygh the fendrwell and the whole straight pipe and mufflers from the side.Looks very much like an old drag car(which is kinna what I'm goin for) with the slots on the back and tricks up front,I'm leaving um oxidized cause I think they look cooler like that.
I got the single 4bbl on it with a velocity stack..But I'm thinkin tummel ram or perhaps three deuces eventualy...especialy being as I plan for a lift off hood...which will most likely be lifted off and remain in the garage.

The day after I drove it I came in to notice a gallon on tranny fluid on the ground. So I had to unscrew the tranny tunnel and fix that mess.

Was it being driven by your missing paper clip?

Keep it up, I love it. I was beginning to think no one ever got funny anymore.

I don't think drug jokes are funny. Just a desensitizer to a huge problem in this world.
