Post my cheap find

Two days ago i asked my mom if she could take me up to the local hobbie shop to get some clear-coat for my model car and she said maybe later. An hour later i asked her again, she said let me think about it, i could obviously tell she didnt want to take me. So another hour later, i asked her while she was busy, she looked at me angered. NO. I became frustrated and tried to inprovise, i tried soaking the car in water and then quikly putting it in the freezer, it didnt work, so i went in the medicine cabinet and found her fingernail polish clear-coat stuff, i triend that and it WORKS!!!!! i was so suprised. I went up stairs and told her i didnt need the clear-coat anymore. it made us both happy. But there is one problem, how to get rid of brush-marks, any ideas guys, you gearheads you.

You aren't old enough to buy spray cans huh? You should be really nice to you Mom and see if she will buy some spray cans for you. You'll have to learn how to use them; Like putting on enough paint but not so much that it runs, ect. But if you get good, you can use the skills later on full size hot rods. Everything on my car except for the frame and body was painted with rattle cans...good luck

A heat lamp would have allowed the coat to "flow" out a little before it dried, too late now though.

Blocking the body with a fine 1000 grit sandpaper might be your only hope.

You have to be at least 18 to buy spray paint and paint thinner. I asked the owner ladie why i can buy can paint and not thinner and she said kids like to inhale thinner. I told her that i sniff paint and she looked at me in a concerned look for what seemed to be five minutes and then i walked out. I was cracking up outside.

odd, I can walk into any hardware store and buy anything and the most they do is give me an odd look. They have have never stopped me from buying anything from a hardware store or anything like that. Damn it's good to live in redneck canada at times. Yeah and I get odd looks when I am wondering around trying to find something that is rare in my town. Like black laquor, nobody could figure out why the hell anyone would want it. Same with grade 8 bolts, I didn't need em but I figured I would spend the extra pennies so that my tranny bolts wouldn't rust to the nuts.

jeez you are gonna have to become a canadian, and stonedchihuahua,, you're gonna have to move closer to atlantic canada, grade 8 bolts are easier to find than grade 5 ones down here.

Air brush-kid, air brush. Save your pennies and mow lawns this summer.
And as far as the bolts go, how about stainless?
