hey, the reason why your tahoe does that, is because it is fuel ingected, alot of fuel injected vehicles are touchy, a 1997 chevy tahoe has 255 horspower, and yes dual exshaust puts out more power, a good dual exhaust can put out an extr 20 horse power but, your probly running about 275 horses righ now, if you get a k&n cold air filter, and some small stuff like a hyperchip, then you would probly be on your way to about 290-300 hp if you spent time and money, good luck on your tahoe.

Hey man thank you i found out that it has that chip and some edelbrock headers. That should make a difference. Well I am going to buy a K&N for it that should be good. I am going to take my truck down the hill to get a dyno on it. Thank you for your help.
