definately... my 2000 GrandAm SE (not the flashy GT) suckered many a stock GrandAm GT, ricer, etc. around here. Gotta love GM's v6s for both performance (college kid not exposed to v8s yet) and economy. Although the 2.8 was a piece, and the 3.4DOHC is a pain to wrench on (albeit powerful) the 3100 and 3400 are good besides the intake gasket issue. The 3.8/3.3 are the same engine family, but they're the primo GM v6. A local guy swapped a 3800SC (not stock!
) into a 1990s Monte Carlo, it's wicked fast.
