Shes a 1980 plymouth Volare with a Slant six. I got it off my neighbor for $200 & initially planned to smash it with my truck when its luck ran out. However, the old slant has grown on me & I started thinking about pulling & rebuilding it for a rod build when the time came.
Now im thinking I should use as many parts from it as I can, including the 8 3/4 rear end & the tranny. Otherwise the bellhousing can be adapted fairly easily (so ive heard) to fit a T5.
I want to do a T style frame, but for the body I had the idea of chopping & narrowing an old truck cab. Pretty original idea i thought until I opened up this months rod & custom!
In the meantime my sister & I threw on a rattlecan job. The flames have been outlined since these pics, but pay special attention to the "Bingo Players Do It Til They Pass Out" bumper sticker!
