My engine bay is UGLY!!! Help

How do you clean up all the hoses and make them where they look nice? I'm going to go with hard lines but still the area in front of the carb looks almost Frankenstienish.. I would love a well ordered compartment that looks nice when you open the hood. I've done tons of rewiring and now it's time for the hoses. I was looking also at using a piece of stainless pipe for a section of my radiator hose. Any other ideas are more than welcome.

Regards
Mark

Some zip ties and wire loom will make a world of difference. If you can run all the hoses and wires together and tie them in a tight bundle it will make things look alot more sanitary. I like to run wiring and tubing in the area between the valve covers and intake in a tight bundle. I did this on my S10 and it turned out pretty sanitary.

Using Armour All on rubber hoses makes them look brand new.

Well my engine bay re-hose and cleanup is underway, unfortunately I found my top radiator hose to be shot when I went to install the new chrome inlet. The hose had ballooned right were it connects to the inlet, and when I removed it tons of crap fell out of it. Now my problem is no one has a match for my top radiator hose. I might have to go with one of those stainless steel kits or I was thinking of buying some stainless steel or aluminum 1 1/2 tubing and getting it bent onto the shape I need then couple it on with a small piece of hose at both ends held on by hose clamps. Most muffler shops have a bending rig, maybe they'll do it for a reasonable rate.

Any ideas on where I might find a hose?

Regards
Mark

If there is a local parts store that will let you go back to the hose rack I bet you can find one that will work. I usually just take the old one or a piece of bent wire back there and hunt untill I find something close. Sometimes you can find on that will just take cutting in half or something weird like that.
