my garage

Thought i would post my garage if i can get this to work. Didn't get the siding all done before it got cold last fall so will have to finish that this spring. It's 26x40 and i dug it into a hill in my back yard so i put up 5 courses of block and added a 10 foot 2x6 wall. That gave me almost 14 feet height inside. Over 12 feet i put sissors truses so i had room for a loft above what is to be my paint booth for parts storage and a place to do upholstery work. I've got most of the shop area done . Just got the infrored heater going and finished some more parts storage areas.Just in time to because i got my 47 ford back from sandblaster.

Infrared Heat

I see in your journal you have an infrared heater in your garage.
Do you keep your garage heated? Or only when you are working in it. Are you happy with the heat?

I installed one in my shop this fall. I like the heat, but it seams to use more gas then a conventional forced unit would.

I don't know what it will use for gas i just put it in. It's 75,000 btu and seems to run a lot but not for very long. The guy that sold it to me said it should run on about 2/3s the gas of forced air. I really seem to like the heat though. Time will tell. and as you know we've had a really mild winter so far.
