Shoot! My wife's friends have stuff in my garage! LOL!

Some of the stuff will be gone soon. I told my wife that we are going to take the furniture to place were it will have plenty of room and get to live with a very nice family. No wait, that's what I said about the dog. LOL!

GARAGE VIOLATION !!!!! GARAGE VIOLATION !!!!!

Thats just not right, UNLESS your wife's friend is built like Pam Anderson, and needs a "little help" from you now and then. Otherwise, well penalties will ensue....

Garage violation Dude! You've been gigged!

I don't care if she does look like Pam Anderson, unless she's going to hang around the garage her junk would have to GO!

One word...SHELVING. And more shelving. And still more shelving. Chuck's (yes Chuck's) garage is shelving from top to bottom and front to back. And everything on the shelves is in a box, neatly labelled with the contents. Everything you need at your fingertips. And all the tools either in the upright cabinet, in one of the wall cabniets or in the rollaway. That's how you keep a clean garage!!!

Chickie.

No, you're right, he's anal, but in a good way..... And he has a nice, clean garage. (Good for brownie points, ya know!)

My buddy and I share a shop to increase the size without having to spend ten grand a piece building our own. We have a 40x60 with twelve foot ceilings. It's enough room for both of us to have three cars, or whatever, all in progress. We have shelving made from 3/4 plywood sheets that are attached to the wall and suspended by chains surrounding the shop. It allows everything being stored to stay with out space concerns. We have a permanent ladder system set up so we can go up to the shelving and walk all the way around. Although we do have about half of it filled with someone else's stuff when they sold their home and failed to find another right away. You know when the shop has 2400 square foot and someone needs to store stuff it's hard to be an *** and say you don't have room. Even if it's only a "little while". I just can't be that kind of person. Cleaning up after yourself is what makes the shop stay clean. About once a month we spend half a day moving everything outside and we sweep and scrub the floor with tide and water as well as sweep the benches and re organize everything small. Then the floor get's squeegeed and mopped. It's stay's in really good shape that way . It comes tougher to do near the beginning of the race year when I'm spending 3-5 day's a week working on the race car. It 's even harder at the end of the year when I get burnt out from doing it for sixth months. Plus my real job.

Well.... I hope you people are happy. I started cleaning up my garage this past week-end. I actually threw things away! That was the hardest thing for me to do. We never had much when I was a kid. We didn't throw much away, cause we didn't know if we would be able to afford to replace it if we needed it again. I have lived that way for all of my life. I actually threw away a box of junk that I have been moving around for 30 years.

I'll probably need something from that box next week!
