Welcome to Hotrodders

I edited the thread title. Please do not "help" as a thread title, place some information in the title so the members have an idea of your problem
Dont worry how old you are... it is the mileage on your body that adds up.

I don't "know" the 920 casting. Anyone? Is it similar to a more common number?

The 305 heads have a small chamber. If you have "dished" pistons, that won't present a problem. The intake valve is a bit small and should be upgraded to the 1.94. Unshrouding the intake valve in the chamber helps a bit.

The 193s are GREAT for torque and low-end power. They're pretty much "done" after 4,000-4,500 RPM. I wouldn't think those suited to your "package" ("Action Plus"???) Is that an Edelbrock marketing scheme? I don't really keep track. The heads they recommend are probably the best ones to use with that package. I doubt they'll recommend a non-Edelrock head...

You say "C-10". Does that mean this is an older truck? So center-bolt covers aren't necessary? There's a RAFT of factory heads around that preform pretty well.

Tell us more... About the application, I mean.

The truck is a 1973 so the valve covers are paremiter bolt patternall I really know is that the 920s are from what I understand like 882s 76cc chamber and the intake is made by wiland and as far as a budget someone gave me the swirl port heads and I have a line on the 416s rebuilt for 150 and that leaves me with about 250 to 300 for porting if at all possible hope this info helps
