Just to keep this thread alive and to see more pictures of your work, please make sure to stay within the board guidelines as far as advertising and selling products. I'd hate to see this thread go to waste. Any more shifter knobs you'd like to share?
Thanks.. Well it really depends, but I normally does the clay model in 1-2 days (not 8-16 hours though haha). Then after that it's moldmaking, casting and painting.
Once the mold is done it goes pretty fast.
Nice! I have a friend thats really into black metal, so I'm familiar with Naglfar. I'm more of a NWOBHM and 80's Thrash fan myself, but that's very, very cool. Any other acts that you've done guitar parts for? I play guitar as well, so it's awesome to see another rodder who crosses boundaries into both of my interests.
Thanks.. Well All the stringbenders in Naglfar is endorsedby me for volumeknobs, and so is the guitarrist Magnus Martinsson in Overtorture (ex member of the swedish death metal band Grave).
I am actually a graphics designer... (the knobs is just something I've done for the last 6-8 months), and I have done quite a lot of bandshirts, logos etc for bands around the world.
Feel free to check out my website********************* to see some of the stuff I've done (it's not updated in ages though).
Hahaha.. I've been thinking of many of these examples that you lined up.. Owen knobs for an example.
The thing is that I have no place to cast in metal (yet), but I am searching.. Cause I have 2 large grocerybags of scrap brass waiting to be casted.
I am always interested in trying news things and therefore I was the volumeknobs a natural thing to do.

I made this powerswithch for a swedish tattooartist (instead of his footswitch pedal).
That seems like very intricate work and would take alot of patience heh.
Heres an image of my shifter. It screws on/off with pressure With the O/D being on top its handy but causes problems when looking for a different unit.

Only when the truck would be completed lol so right now probably not. Plus I havent even decided a theme yet for the interior, right now all I got is a cockpit of a jet full surround yet hidden.
Here's my latest shifter project.. But still "work in progress", but I thought I should show it anyway.
I dont know when it'll be finished since I have some other assignments that has to be done first.
I hope you like it though.
So, here's a little project that I started on last night.. It's still "work in progress" but I thought I should show it anyway.
The plan is to make a hood ornament of it, but we'll see.
I was hoping to post a picture of the "hood ornament", but last nights casting ended in a disaster, so I will have to do it all over again and hopefully do it right this time haha.
Here's a special treat for you, just to celebrate the fact that I have over 1000 views in my thread..
This is the "new" boxes that the shifters are delivered in looks like... I hope you like it and I'll try to post some new work soon.
This guy contacted me and asked if I could portrait him as a pistonhead.. And the idea is that his father will get the shifter as a gift..
Well since I've never done this before I agreed on giving it a try but did'nt promise anything.
Anyway, here it is.. As a claymodel (I will cast it after the weekend).
I hope you like it!
Poor guy is as hideous as your other shifters lol not talking bad on the shifters....theyre supposed to look like that. No wonder it would make a good gift for his dad. Çant imagine what an older version of that guy would look like, probably brings up better memories of when he wasntt quite as ugly lol. Good job as always though you are a craftsman
I'm too tired to understand most of your comment, but I understand the last sentence and thank you very much for that.
I'm going away for the weekend so I won't be able to do anything until monday, but I can ensure you that there will be an update on this.
