My latest project

I've do a little paint work on the side as a hobby (I drive the big brown truck for a living). I've been coming reading the forums for awhile and finally registered, theres lots of good people and info here, I thought I'd share some pics of my latest project I did for a friend it started out teal green with gray interior, I also added new suspension and baer brakes, the paint turned out pretty good for being done in a two car garage, I'm currently building a shop out back that will have a permanent booth in it

Nice job, looks great. Let me be the first to welcome you to the forums. You are correct, there is a great bunch of people here.

Soo you drive the big brown truck. The driver of the big brown truck in my neighborhood has been on a first name basis with me since he started making frequent drops of hot rod parts. he stops in for a very short time to see how the project is going.

Again, welcome
Vince

Car looks great. Funny How nothing seems to put a date on a car like those 1 or 2 year run colors. A friend of mine bought a brand new teal green lx and put the exact same saleen body parts on it that you have pictured. Always looked goofy to me because he left the stock springs and rims on the car. A white one you have to guess what year it is, A teal green one you can narrow it down. Good job.

thanks for the warm welcomes guys, my wife won a sit down lunch with Dale last year, said he was a real nice and down to earth guy, I found it ironic that I work for UPS and could'nt get the day off to go with her.

As well as the others, welcome to Hotrodders.

I myself have been trying to get a job as a loader/unloader at UPS. I've heard the pay is great, especially the benefits. Now I'm working at a burger joint waiting for them to call me. Will they call? Its been about 2-3 weeks now.

I personally don't drive "the brown truck" but I do drive a light blue work horse. Sweet ol' Chevy wagon, she gives me so much fun for a "bread & butter" V8.

With a major hub being in Raleigh I would imagine the company is always hiring. Turn over is usually pretty high, most folks don't realize they have to actually work for the pay and benefits. LOL. In my area the part time jobs are currently being offered to college students first. Non student applicants are sometimes passed over. Taking one class at a community college would qualify as being a "student".

Good Luck and hang in there!
