My latest Ride...

In 2008 I passed on my '73 Olds Omega to my son. I bought it in 1975, a year before he was born. I know he's really enjoying it out therre in Arizona. That's him in the picture. The other ride, the 2000 Fatboy is what I got to ride after I passed on the Olds. I plan on having and enjoying it for many years to come!

Thanks. I've had it for @ a year so far, with many years of riding before that, and will be careful. I've ridden it here most of the year right down to temps @ 35 degrees. I am glad that it's finally warming up though!

both very nice vehicles, i been thinking of buying a 750 triumph trident again, i had 1 in the 70s for a while, but sold when lost my license.Im 53 so i prolly wont take the risk, people were bad enough with me when i was a young motorbike rider, think car people have no respect for bikers these days?? I had 2 close calls with bikes when i was young, and also had 2 mates killed on separate accidents as well.Hmmmm, gonna keep thinking about it.

good luck with ya ride!
later gator

Well, I'm 55 now and find myself a lot more respectful of my ride than I was back in my younger days. But, I see your point whinny. Heck, I've even lost a nephew to a barricade a few years back on a sport bike. The worse thing going car wise now are the IDIOTS that are out there texting and driving! I see them all the time, and let me tell you, they usually are about as easy to spot as an intoxicated driver. I thought the cell phones were bad! I would almost welcome the good old days of only the cell phones!

I bought a 03 VTX 1800 Honda, last year,, first bike I have owned since 1960,, after I T-Boned a 56 chev station wagon that ran a red light,, and it wasn't a fun trip at all,, pretty serious wreck,, but I managed to pull through,, so I had absolutely no desire to get back on a bike, but for some odd reason,, I thought I needed another one,, after talking myself out of it for a few months.. I finally bought one,

I don't regret it at all,, it took me a while circling the block around the neighbor hood to get back in the swing of it,, but now my son and I do alot of riding during the summer..

its those idiots with cell phones and texting I watch out for,, and I give them PLENTY of room..

I waited a long time to get another bike, due to my time with Uncle Sam and overseas deployments. Then when I got done with that duty it was a matter of saving up enough money to pick one up cash. I didn't want to go the financing route. The picture of me and the bike is in front of the hock shop I bought it from. I didn't even have an endorsed license yet. (Florida requirement) It felt a little hairy when I first pulled away into traffic, but I got back in the swing of it in no time!
