my new class

Im a senior in high school and i'm doing this auto collision class that is offered and this kid was telling me that he can build a car from scratch i started laughing then he told me he could build a engine that peaks at 11,000RPM then finished it off with, " i pretty much know everything about cars." lol

These are the kind of people that try to replace their muffler bearings lol

I once talked to a guy who used to have a 68 charger with a 440 (of course). He said he went 30 over 30 under on the motor, then put a tunnel ram with two 4 barrels. 600 horse right there . Then he was getting chased buy the cops and went from fourth gear wide open straight to reverse and all you seen after that was gears on the ground. We've got lots of these kinda people around here

Tell him that you designed and tested a camshaft made of a special rubber compound. The motor would idle smoothly at 600 rpm's, but as the r's increased, the grind would get wilder and she would make good power to 12,000. Swear to it. Tell him you had to lube it with a blend of Blackstrap Molasses and Pomegranate juice to keep it together.

guys

The best part of being a shop owner is when a new customer walks in with one of "those guys" by his side and wants an engine built. The BS that follows is classic and i could script it to a "T" every time....

I always want to say. "just get your buddy here to build it, he knows everything"

This is exactly the reason why I verify any information I get through several independant sources.

I never make a decision based on one persons recommedation I always get a second and even a third opinion.

Take everything you hear with a grain of salt.
