I have an 03" LS Extended Cab 4.3l S-10. Stock my Truck puts out 190HP & 250' LB TQ. I have since added a K&N Cold Air Intake, Gibson Headers, Borla Dual Cat Back Exhaust, & Hyppertech re-programmed. Which puts me in the 225HP range. This December I will be adding a Vortech Supercharger & MSD ignition. If things turn out the way I want I should be knocking the door @ 300hp, with a little over 300' LB of TQ (& still be a daily driver).

Do you guys have any other suggestions or ideas that will help me obtain this goal I'm looking to accomplish? This truck will basically be a daily driver , that likes to beat on the local ricers every once in awhile. Thanks in advance for any & all input.

a camshaft swap would likely be of benefit with the addition of a double roller timing chain. I`m sure since you plan on adding a supercharger, that some cam companies make blower cams for a 4.3 but don`t quote me on that. if not, just maybe take a step up on cam size, just make sure you don`t go overboard or the computer will go haywire.

Yeah I'm having a little trouble on my cam searches beings my truck is an 03". But that is one avenue I'm checking out.




I'm not interested in a V-8 swap in this truck. I do plan on starting a new project this summer with a 99" S-10 powered by a worked up Big Block 454 (or 496 < cost depending).

Most late model oem cams are a wide lsa conservative spec type cam which in most cases will work well with a supercharger. It could certainly be optimized, but there are alot of factory cam engines running superchargers.
