my speakers

Im not sure if this is something i should be asking on a car forum but I am trying to hook up to subwoofers to my camaro. so i have everything hooked up properly i think. I hooked up the rca cables from the back of my reciever to my amp. The amp's power light is green so thaat shouldnt be a problem and then i started to hook up the speaker cables. I hooked negative to the negative and positive to positive from the speakers to the amp. I made sure i the cables are in the right slot... it was rear right input... and when i turn on the reciever and play the radio or something no sound comes out.. what am i missing?

Are you sure the apm is turned on when the head unit is. Most amps have a remote wire that gets pluged into the head unit and when you start your car it turns on. That way the amp isen't on all the time.

Ok if you hook up your speakers directly to the headunit does any sound come out? If may be that something is wrong with the amp. What does your head unit say about the output cables it may be that something has to be turned on for it to send info to the amp.

Car audio forum

Try going here: www.ecoustics.com and go to the forums for car audio...there will be a ton of information regarding this exact issue. I've been on this board for the last several months due to the purchase of a new car audio system...and they have been a great help!
