my t.b.I. 4.3l v6 puts out way to much fuel at start then revs way up on it's own

I just put a t.b.I. 4.3 out of a 89 s10/blazer into my 88 s10 pickup that had a stock 2.8l v6 and I finaly got everything swapped and started it up but everytime the injecters throw out too much fuel where it's splattering out of the throttle body all over the engine then after I let it sit and run like that it revs way up with out me touchen the throttle at all and if I do hit the throttle it chokes it self out and revs down until I let off then it revs way up again... Any ideas or solutions?

check the fuel pressure, should be around 13.
Also you need to put the ecm from the 4.3 in it.
any check engine light?
Is the MAP sensor hose hooked up to the correct port?

That means the return line is restricted or blocked. That will send the fuel pressure real high, and could give the trouble you are having.
Check to see if it is pinched or kinked somewhere and unkink it.

the FP regulator could be bad too. It is built into the Throttle body

It could be the throttle position sensor (tps) or even the coolant temp sensor (cts) i would start with the tps over the cts. I know on the 944s the coolant temp sensors would go bad and cause it to do the exact same thing back in the day.

Ya I thought of that too and I put the cts from the 2.8 on the 4.3 dint do anything with the tps yet cuz the way it sounds while it is running it sounds like it is taking in alotta air but I will still try the tps, but shoudnt the service engine light be on if any of those sensors are the problem?

Any other suggestions on why my engine would run like that? And now when I turn the motor over the negative battery cable sparks and smokes at the battery terminal and I think the ground strap on the back of the head did the same thing!!! I checked the ignition wire at the starter and it seemed fine, what happened with that??
