Are my valves adjusted to tight?

I started my truck up today and held a dollar bill up to the tail pipe it kind of sucked it in and blew it out is this bad valve lash?

Exhaust systems have positive and negative pulses. The positive is out, the negative is in. In most cases you don`t need to use a dollar bill, your hand works just as well, the pulses from the exhaust system cause it to suck in just as well as pushed out. I can`t say I ever heard of checking valve train lash by exhaust pulses before.
