Mysterion - little known and less cared about facts
Here is a web site with info on Ed Roth's sons attempt to recapture the Mysterion with their Maxterion. IMHO, they didn't capture the heart and soul of the original. Lots of kit car stuff, an uninspired plastic body, and lacking the signature bubble top, outlandish chassis and running gear, it depends on a gaudy but unintersting paint job for the drama. Doesn't come close.

You are so right!. I remember when the Revell kit came out.. HAD to have one..

Where'd they put the radiator?
I like the base color and the purple flames, that's about it. Larry |
What's with the Justice Bros Octane booster?
The Northstar engine will adjust its own timing to match any octane rating gas you put in it? It's just not the same with out the old man...... |
Doesn't come close to the original, I'd take a 30 second gander at a car show. Willys, have you found the tie rod ends yet? Homer may have a set here soon. Dan

Iv'e collected about half of the 25 or so I need. No rush - after I got the nose piece finished real life has been taking up most of my time. HAVE to get the pickup finished then will attack the Mysterion w/ a vengeance; until I need to start buying chrome, then it will slow down quite a bit!!
