Ifind it amazing that those mid-fifties concept and prototypes never made it to production.

Of course you wouldn't expect Bruce and Dick to ride in anything less than a tricked out custom Lincoln, would you?

looks like they didn't spend enough time on the design of that ugly ***** car. but hey i guess it was cool in the 60's.
they should have used a caddy.

If you notice on this one in '75...it travelled the show circuits and was flocked black with different wheels. I heard they had quite a few batmobiles later on. If memory serves me there are a few in different car museums around the US.

Guess I should have looked further at the pics. There were 5 Batmobiles and it looks like #2 was the Black Fuzz one.

It is a great site though. I've been thru all the pics before. I grew up on Batman. Sad thing is, thatwas 36years ago. Where has the time gone?

Check this out. A little info on another famous car from that time era. The Black Beauty

Kevin, that entire Black Beauty story was wild! The part about the bill being higher when it was quoted makes it bittersweet and all to real!

The BATMOBILE was a Ford?

Way Cool, thanks. I thought it was a T-Bird.

Mybe I should start saving up 4 one! lol

The guy who designed the very first one of those was at the Darrel Starbird hot rod show at the catillion in Wichita KS. I saw him but i didn't go and meat him because he was at an autograph booth. There actually wasn't that many people at the booth. Oh well I still think it's great. I liked the one in the new movie but It will never be as good as the original.
